  • This area is known as the “battlefield of the ages, you will see original fortified Syrian bunkers at Mitzpe Gadot and gain an understanding of the strategic significance of this area and the fierce battles fought here in the Six Day War of 1967.
  • Then, on to Emek Hahula or the Hula Valley  a “must see” Located in beautiful northern Israel between the steep slopes of the Golan Heights to the East and the Naftali mountains of the Upper Galilee to the west
  • This truly magical spot has been a migration route for millions of birds from Europe to Africa and Asia for thousands of years.

Description

Start your day with a picturesque drive along the coastal road with a clear view of the Mediterranean. Final destination; Safed, a small town in Northern Israel, is known as the “City of Kabbalah.” Thousands of visitors come here every year to learn more about Jewish mysticism, view some of the beautiful synagogues and other historical and cultural sites and enjoy the small town pace of the city’s windy lanes and alleyways. 

The town of Tzefat (Safed) is rich in history, spirituality and sights, its quaintness and narrow alleyways contribute to its charm and add to the spiritual atmosphere of the city. You will surely enjoy the Artists Quarter, where you will find quaint shops where you can meet the original artisians and discuss their work. Also not to be missed are the fabulous ancient synagogues and the Safed Candle factory.  

The second half of your day will take you to the Golan Heights. Filled with lush green landscapes and towering mountains. Also, known as the “battlefield of the ages, you will see original fortified Syrian bunkers at Mitzpe Gadot and gain an understanding of the strategic significance of this area as well as gain some understanding of the strategic importance of the Golan Heights and the fierce battles fought on this very ground in the 1967 Six Day War. Fascinating, It is the also the triangular connection point of Israel, Jordan, and Syria.
