MAZEL TOV! Over 200 Births Reported Over Yom Kippur In Eretz Yisroel

YWN-Israel reported that MDA transported 174 pregnant women in labor to hospitals nationwide on Yom Kippur.

There are usually a large number of births on Yom Kippur, as fasting can cause women to go into labor.

Below are some of the numbers of births reported by hospitals around the country:

60 babies were born at Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

42 babies were born at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva.

13 babies were born at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Chadera.

25 babies – including one pair of twins – were born at Meir Medical Center in Ranaana. One woman gave birth in an ambulance at the entrance to the hospital.

32 babies – 20 boys and 12 girls – were born at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin.

20 babies were born at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

13 babies were born at Assuta Medical Center in Ashdod.

17 babies – 11 boys and 6 girls – were born at the Galilee Medical Center.

A number of babies were also born at Hadassah Ein Kerem and Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospitals.

May this year, 5779, bring an abundance of Jewish births in Hospitals throughout Eretz Yisrael and around the world!
